Humiliating small men at the gym

I started working out again two weeks ago after reading about Amy Davis. She’s almost as tall as me, but she used to be really skinny – a problem I’ve never had. After working out for a few years, though, she’s developed really big muscles and they look amazing.

I don’t know if I’d want to be so muscular as Amy, but I do love the idea of being crazy strong. I had a gym membership already (that I rarely use) but I’ve gone back now with a plan to get stronger. After just four or five workouts in the weight room, I haven’t gotten any stronger, really. But as tall as I am, and at around 180 pounds, I’m naturally pretty strong. People are always surprised by it.

So it was with some amusement that I noticed a skinny guy using smaller dumbbells than me. I was curling 30 pound dumbbells while he was just using 20 pounders. I smiled at him and he blushed when his eyes met mine. I think he likes me, and I know I like men I can outlift at the gym! I just wish he was shorter – he’s almost as tall as me and that’s kind of a turn-off.
