A friend of mine posted on Facebook yesterday afternoon that the Venture Bros. season 4.5 premiere would air at 11:30 last night. I lost the thread on the series during season 3 but the promo trailer looked amazing and so I watched it.

And it was amazing! A major plot point was concerned with the old Fantastic Voyage theme, namely a bunch of people in a high-tech submarine are exposed to a shrink ray that reduces them and their craft down to microscopic size, and the the whole caboodle is injected into a person for the purpose of saving his life from some whatever is killing him.

Some of you shrinker guys love that stuff, I know, but it gave me nightmares. I had a dream afterwards that I shrunk down members of my family and people from work to achieve some nebulous dream-goal, but then I lost them and couldn’t find them anywhere. I woke up this morning heavy with a feeling of failure and betrayal. And even though it was over something as ridiculous as shrunken people, I couldn’t really shake it until after lunch.
