This is about the size ratio between two races of people in a story I’m working on. The taller race is technologically more advanced. They live in a ‘Queendom,’ meaning that the Women are the heads of households, the ranking officers in the military, leaders in government and religion, scientists, professors, etc. Sure, there are some male examples in various fields, but they are rare.
The other race of people average half the height of the first. They’re like brutish cavemen, maybe about as advanced as the Vikings were. The males are totally in charge, keeping their Females hidden away, deep in their lands, under cover of veils and long robes when out in public and largely confined to their homes. The shorter race has a culture focused on strength, durability, sports, all largely geared towards defending their land from constant periodic raids from the larger race. In combat, the tall male soldiers of their enemy employ non-lethal means as much as possible to capture the soldiers of the short race to satisfy their Queendom’s slave trade.
